This is how I practice setting my boundaries
1. Know your limits – figure out what drains or stresses you.
2. Start small – practice saying no in low-stakes situations.
3. Be clear and direct – use simple, firm statements without over-explaining.
4. Practice saying no – politely but firmly decline requests that don’t fit.
5. Be consistent – reinforce your boundaries regularly so people respect them but not obviously not in a harsh manner or tone.
