Scenario: A small coffee shop is struggling to attract enough customers.

Problem: Daily customer visits are below the break-even point.

1. Why are there not enough customers?

Because many people in the area don’t know the coffee shop exists.

2. Why don’t people know about the coffee shop?

Because there has been little to no marketing or community outreach.

3. Why hasn’t there been marketing or outreach?

Because the business owner assumed word-of-mouth alone would bring in customers.

4. Why did the owner rely only on word-of-mouth?

Because there was no allocated budget for marketing in the business plan.

5. Why wasn’t marketing included in the business plan?

Because the business plan was focused primarily on operations (rent, supplies, staffing) and didn’t account for customer acquisition strategies.

Tarryn I like your scenario.  I actually did not write down the why's like you did,  I need to go and amend mine 🤣
